Multiple Opponents - Guide

(Was watching star wars fights and noticed certain stuff like how they separated opponents to make it easier, e.g. maul vs kenobi and Qui Gon and thought I'd give a shot at trying to create an acolyte's guide on it)

Introduction:
This document is an analysis of the various techniques and ideas to help in situations of unfavorable odds. Specifically, the art of crowd control in forms specialized against numerous opponents, like Shii-Cho. In this essay I will discuss what to aim for, how Shii-Cho helps against multiple opponents, techniques to focus on and more.
Sometimes it is shocking to me to see the overestimation of Shii-Cho against multiple adversaries. Should you find yourself in such a situation, you are usually at the disadvantage regardless of Shii-Cho's design. Which is why focus on the techniques and mindset is important in these scenarios, primarily when the opponents you're fighting are close in power and skill as yourself. These don't necessarily need to be followed should your own power vastly outweigh your opponents.
Separation:
The first focus when fighting multiple opponents is the use of separation, distance and the environment. Upon studies of experienced force users fighting multiple people, I've found that the most common tactic at some point in the fight is to separate your opponents and make the number of people you have to deal with as low as possible. This is most effective when the numbers are already quite low, such as instances of one versus two or one versus three, with separation becoming increasingly difficult per number of enemies. These moments allow ample times to finish off the one you're fighting before the other opponent manages to re-enter the fray and put the pressure back on you.
"There're a myriad of ways to separate opponents, such examples being the use of the force to stun, disable or remove one. I've heard use of force fear to incapacitates an enemy, one thing I'm curious about is the length of how long they are incapable for and the sheer effect of the ability in combat. Otherwise simple use of force pushes and pulls can be incredibly effective. Although rare, I've found that use of the environment can be used for separation of opponents too, most effective when combined together with force attacks, an example being the use of force push off of an elevated position."
Enemy usefulness:
One of the various points that Apprentice A'tul himself recommended as a method for Shii-Cho use against multiple opponents. The use of enemies against each other. To my personal understanding, I believe he means the use of the opponents attacks on each other, in which the defense from one attack can be either used on the enemy or smoothly transitioned into a counter on the other. Examples of this include diverting an enemy's attack into their partner/s, or using an attack yourself that can chain onto another person such as force pushing one enemy into another, damaging two people in one move. The only other examples I can imagine of this section is forcing your enemy into another's attack, such as that of using one as a human shield for a force ability - the most common being force shock's physical contact sharing.
Specific Techniques:
If the prior advice of separation is unavailable then use of the classical techniques of Shii-Cho is best. This would include their iconic wide sweeping slashes or the more advanced and infamous technique of the Sarlaac sweep, in which a slash is performed in such a way that it strikes all enemies in one movement.
However just as important as blade-work is footwork, something emphasized by Apprentice A'tul himself in the lesson held earlier. You are most vulnerable when there are multiple adversaries that know how to position themselves, keeping yourself constantly facing -all- enemies is an important thing to note. Letting one or more flank you can mean your death if not managed correctly. Besides stopping the enemy from flanking you, footwork needs to be ample enough to steadily switch between opponents and different angles of attack and defense.


Summary:
To briefly summarise the document, it can be condensed roughly to this:
  • Attempt to separate your enemies
  • Attempt to use the force to stun, incapacitate or aid in separation of enemies
  • Attempt to use the environment to your advantage
  • Attempt to use your enemies against each other
  • Attempt appropriate use of long, wide sweeps and the Sarlaac Sweep
  • Attempt to avoid being flanked and appropriate footwork for angles of attack

Some of these can be combined with each other or avoided in certain instances, these are just my personal pieces of advice and knowledge on aiding what's usually always a disadvantageous fight against multiple opponents.

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red!
