Paralyzed

#1
"Conflict forces one to better oneself. It forces change, growth, adaption, evolution… Or death."  - Yuthura Ban

"The code talks to us about freedom, but it contradicts itself... For is anyone truly free if they live by a code? The same code?"  - Darth Zarrious

A holocron is set first upon a stone table, the room dark and smothered in the misty aura of the void, the sight of that who is blind lives by the policy and darkness of which is the void. The holocron offered a purple hue in the void and it's lack of reality. One whom is attuned to the darkness kneels before it; "Master... You torment me- You prevent me from my slumber, you curse me... You provide slander on to our sacred tradition. Why? Why do you linger?"  Pleaded a poor soul, trapped in the void for all eternity.

The holocron and it's hue surrounded the darkness of which lingered in the void, the hue spurting in their retort; "You are weak. I sense your doubts... Can it be possible that my apprentice has grown paranoid, greedy of their gifts?"  It's cackle echoed through the void, but there was nothing in the reality. "But I have followed your teachings.. I have excelled in my prowess. Why do I feel such lures for your knowledge- When already I have a taste of it? What spell have you set upon me, what curse lingers and traps my being?"  The darkness cried in their neglect, their being was ever so tormented- it would almost seem pathetic that such an aura shared their pain.

"Do you feel paralyzed apprentice? Or do you come here to grovel like you always did... Seeking purpose. I gave you a way to harness true power, and yet- Here you are."  The holocron and it's aura grew twice in it's size, almost overwhelmingly so for the poor dark aura that remained put within it's grasp. They lifted their gaze to meet the power that swelled before them, it was truly astounding. "I am paralyzed... I have so much more potential, but I cannot hope to show it in such circumstances. I require your guidance, master... Tell me again, tell me! Pray tell, master! What can I do?"  The aura spurted out in a some-what frustrated manner, the very voice of it ripples through the aura of which surrounded.

"Do as you always do apprentice. In time, you will find reality. You will see once more what is the reality... But until that time, you are cursed to this void of which you see. The answers of your cries will always be the same... The answer to all whom wish to learn. Time is your ally apprentice. Do not forget, for if you do?"  The holocron grunted an amused grunt, it's void now echoing in a hushed tonnage around the darkened aura of which sat idle. "Time is your ally~"  The aura shinned a blinding light, and the void was no more about the holocron. It was reality.

-End-

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
