Acolyte Report on a lesson of Torture

#1
[Image: CLsfhGF.png]

The subjects name is Riel, she was a smuggler before we captured her. In the process we wiped out the other smugglers save for the republic professor who they were escorting.

My approach was to see if she could be of any use, my reasoning for this is the fact they managed to get on korriban is a feat that displays some competence.

My approach was admittedly a lighter one, I am trying to learn how to bend those with a weaker will to my own. My goal was to remove all hope from her, in doing so the plan was to see how easily she would break. If she broke at this first step of the process she would not be worth the trouble in the first place.

As she maintained some semblance of holding things together I moved to my second step. I moved to implant some faint semblance of hope if she followed my instructions to the letter. She attempted to lie as most would in that situation and she bled for that mistake. The point of implanting some form of hope is to give her something to live for which I can bend and twist as I see fit.

Lastly I examined her background what and who she cares about. She cares mainly about credits though she has a brother that she is close to. That gives leverage which can be used against her until a sufficient level of loyalty can be implanted in her.

My objective in this interrogation was to learn and evaluate if she would be an ideal target for being bent to one's will. I believe she is and the reasons for that is listed below, that being said I would estimate it would take about 5 years before her loyalty would be sustained under threat of death.

Reasons for attempting to bend her:
My reasons are as follows, despite the fact she trespassed and defiled most holy korriban she may yet earn redemption through service. She is an ideal candidate to be bent to our will, she has no home and no direction.

This presents the opportunity to determine both for her, she has few to no ties to anyone else and she is not imperial. This means she until recently has not been in our records which gives her some anonymity to our enemies in the empire. A change in hair and eye color and if need be a bit of cosmetic surgery along with a new name and some documents and she would be a virtually invisible person to our systems.

Her background in Hutt space and as a smuggler may offer some contacts for us to exploit. Additionally her will is weak enough to be bent but strong enough that with training and reinforcement it may hold up to limited amounts of strain. Right now she is nothing but unrealized potential and whether or not she will actually be of use is still to be seen.

Irregardless it so far has been a fascinating learning experience for myself, in future I would certainly like to try a harder approach on another subject to see if similar results could be achieved. If my lord has any feedback or criticism I would gladly hear it.

As a side not I am deeply interested in how to sap and drain the will of others and I think it could be a fascinating field of study. If my lord has any advice in how to pursue it I would listen gladly.

Force serve, Acolyte Lyrissa.

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
