Mission Report: 'Knowledge of the Ancients'
The party had been summoned tot he bridge by Apprentice Annabelle, whom was corrected by Lord Kalkoran, Apprentice Siors and myself. Upon this correction the party instead gathered at hangar bay 2-A, where we discussed how to approach this operation. The party was quick to decide, we choose infiltration via disguise. Each and everyone of us was given ten minutes by Apprentice Siors to find ourselves the equipment needed before we leave.
Once the group was ready, we left the Th’Asidra on one of the commisioned imperial shuttles. During the flight towards the Dromund Kaas Spaceport, we went through our plans and cover story and a failsafe plan if the operation were to go as we didn’t plan. Unfortunatelly, Apprentice Siors and Specialist Srano needed several moments to get rid of any childish thoughts, as such this discussion took longer than desirable.
Upon arrival we left the hanger we arrived in, and spreaded out once we reached the central erea of the spaceport. We decided to split up to increase time efficiency. Specialist Srano had moved tot he second level to keep an eye out on the first floor from above, whilst the Apprentices and myself would gather the information. It appeared that quite a number of people were knowledgable regarding the smuggling ring, and even the artifact. All three of us were able to extract the required information from our chosen targets.
After the location of a smuggling ring was revealed to us we gathered at our previously decided rendezvous location. From there we entered a market, one that was filled with smugglers and the likes, selling a wide variety of artifacts, from a variety of cultures, including those of the Sith. Unfortunatelly, these weren’t the ones we were searching, instead we ‘persuaded’ them to reveal the location of the correct smuggling ring and the holocron.
We then proceeded to hangar bay 12-D, Apprentices Siors and Annabelle continued to move towards the smuggler’s cargo ship whilst Specialist Srano and I proceeded tot he hangary bay control room, in order to close the hangar doors and shut down all alarms. Both groups encountered hostile forces, all of which were quickly dealt with by the respective pairs. The control room was secured and the alarms were shut down. Apprentices Siors had entered the cargoship of the smugglers and recovered the information regarding the ‘ringleader’ and destroyed it all, apart from the information of the other rings dealing in Sith artifacts. Apprentice Annabelle had found the holocron in the same time period.
Everyone of us agreed to load the rest of the ship with the crates that the smuggler’s were previously loading unto the ship. We then proceeded to take the cargoship tot he location of the ringleader, and thanks tot he party’s dynamic and quick reaction, all present guards were taken out, leaving only the ringleader himself, we made an attempt to gather more information out of him, unfortunatelly e were unable to. In the end we were able to recover the holocron, destroy the smuggling ring, recover the stolen goods and gather information on the other rings.
6 crates of lightsaber crystals and 3 crates of artifacts from a variety of cultures have been delivered directly tot he Kalkoran Estate, while a single crate with weaonry and ammunition had been delivered to the Th’Asidra by Specialist Srano. With the permission granted by Lord Kalkoran we will continue to hunt down and destroy the remaining smuggling rings.
