Sith - The Axiom Powerbase

#1
[Image: Image1.png]
One of many Sith Powerbases in the Northern Territories, the Axiom Powerbase has had a long history with House Horuset - both serving the Sphere of Civil Administraation. First encountered during the war to claim Orsus, they stood as a contender to lead the assault, having been called to aid in the skirmish...only to be uprooted and outperformed during a diplomatic gathering at the central imperial command planetside. Under Darth Axiom they did continue to aid the strikes on Orsus, but at a distance and outperformed by House Horuset - ultimately having the rewards of Orsus favor the traditionalist bastion. Later they served as the Rear Guard during the battle of Gravlex Med while House Horuset undertook a deployment to the frontlines on Anx Minor alongside I.T.E.C, to reap the world's resources in blood and nuclear explosions.

Having barely managed to escape destruction after reinforcements reached the Second Battle of Gravlex Med, the powerbase went into obscurity - at least with grander, public movements. A quiet, unspoken softening of tensions arrived in this wake, leaving the two powerbases at an agreeable state. For now the two bear no hostilities openly, but there may be old wounds from Orsus that some sith on either side haven't let go of...or perhaps they have, and seek to forge an alliance to reinforce the Northern Reaches in times of rumbling strife against the Republic.

Curiously, since Anx Minor Darth Axiom himself has not been seen leading the powerbase...or seen at all: His fate is unclear, but a Lord Axiom has helmeted the powerbase and been its public face for quite some time now.

For now the powerbase's latest sightings were on Vykos, aiding in Lord Vindral's campaign against the Republic.

NPC Name: Lord Axiom (full name unknown)
NPC Image:
Relation to House Horuset: Neutral, leaning friendly
Brief Desription: A lord with a long service in the Axiom powerbase, who has lead it since House Horuset and I.T.E.C cracked open Anx Minor a few years ago. Well-spoken and adjusted to public speaking, he's seemingly continued the goals of Darth Axiom, in participating in continued conflict against the Republic - even working with other powerbases. Their efforts have laid in the war on Vykos for the last many months.
Notable Activities: Working under Lord Vindral's command on Vykos in the former's efforts against the Republic.
Last Known Appearance: Vykos
Character Owner: Pending

Ongoing Crisis
The Republic Marches amongst lit fires!

The Balance of Power in the Northern Territories!

After the Republic liberated Pollus from Imperial influence, Anx Minor was devastated by I.T.E.C.’s nuclear mining and lingering Sith presence, while the Kesmere Ridge remained largely intact, enabling the Republic to steadily infiltrate and influence its powerful corporate systems. On Tertiary Kesmere—the largest hub—three megacorporations dominated: Oriyn Prospecting discovered resources, Kessdyne Resource Group extracted and profited from the capital Vethar’s Reach and its Ciivic Council, and Haeltor Maritime handled off-world transport. Beneath the façade of economic growth, however, The Republic secretly aimed to turn Tertiary Kesmere into a strategic launch point for operations in the Northern Territories. Contacted by Moff Vayen Korr, the Marshalling Prefect of the Northern Territories, the Pentarchy of House Horuset took on the job of delaying the Republic's actions. With preperations laid it culminated in a strike planetside lasting only two weeks to ignite anarchy. Acting covertly to sabotage Republic progress, they destabilized the region, leaving chaos in their wake as corporations collapsed under their own deception and local anti-corporate guilds rose up—unaware of the Empire’s hidden hand behind the unrest...

((OOC: Missions that relate to grand changes in the Northern Territories will have an impact on the balance of power shown above, with the end result being that the balance of power's state will determine how strong the Republic will be in given areas area. The balance of power can be pushing in our favour with bigger scale events aimed at taking the Republic down or fortifying ourselves in the North. This can be achieved through Operations, Adventures and Guild Events. The blue represents the Republic, and the Empire is red! This is organised by the Guild Team, so please direct OOC questions to them.))
